ECHO BOUND
Story / Goal
You start as a wandering spirit, exploring a dangerous place where enemies and traps block the way. Your mission is to save the Woodlings — small living wooden creatures that can push blocks and help you solve puzzles.
At the end of the journey, you fight the Flame Wyrm to free the last Woodlings and escape.
Core Mechanics
Spirit Form
-
Move freely as a blue ghost.
-
Pass through most objects to scout and plan.

Cannot leave the map: border walls and certain barriers still block you.

Some passages are Spirit-only routes.
Sound Waves
-
Launch sound waves that can bounce off specific walls.
-
Some surfaces do not reflect the wave.
-
When a wave hits a non-reflective wall, it creates an impact pulse that affects an area and pulls nearby enemies/objects toward it.
Sound Orbs
-
While in Spirit Form, approaching a Sound Orb lets you materialize into it.
-
In this state you cannot move, but you can aim with the mouse and fire sound waves in the direction you’re looking.
Pressure Plates
-
Enemies can step on pressure plates.
-
Plates can trigger things like opening exits, activating mechanisms, or changing the level layout.
Laser Orbs
-
In Spirit Form, enter a Laser Orb to shoot a laser beam.
-
Lasers can defeat enemies, reflect off mirrors, and interact with the environment.
-
If a laser hits a solid wall, it creates a panic zone that forces enemies to flee from the area.
Woodlings (Rescued Allies)
-
Woodlings are living wooden creatures you rescue.
-
They can push blocks, enabling new routes and puzzle solutions.
